This was a special project for me, initially motivated by finding a set of hubs at John Jones’ workshop, and wanting to build a bike using them.
I got inspired and went deep on this one, as an artistic exercise and to pay tribute to my friend John Jones, who had recently passed away unexpectedly. I’m very happy with how it all came together, a nice mix of new and classic, with influences from beach cruisers, BMX cruisers, mountain bikes and my own Scrambler.
Will work well for a taller rider: about 5’11”-6’3″
Comes with a custom designed titanium/redwood floating front rack that mounts directly to the head tube (instead of the fork) so loading it won’t affect the steering. The rack is removable.
